Vietnam Trip Day 17, Halong Bay

5/7/2014 – Halong Bay
After the bus not getting the ferry over yesterday, Bon was taking no chances and had us up early to catch the first ferry. Meant we missed out on the morning looking around Cat Ba island, including possible kayaking.
The scenery back was pretty good and we saw a few more of the floating villages that we saw yesterday. It rained most of the way back to Hanoi. Drove past the Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Mural, about 4km of mini murals created using small ceramic tiles undertaken by different artists and foreign embassies. Looked around the Royal Palace Shopping Centre in the arvo, supposed to be the biggest one in Asia (as if, it wasn’t that big). Bought some nike shoes, might try and get some more. Farewell dinner that night, at the Yin and Yang restaurant, which was quite a good meal.
