Spring flowers in the garden

Filed under: Idle Ramblings — pearsey @ 4:19 pm

When it’s spring time, we get an abundance of wonderful flowers and as you’re walking around the streets, you can smell the flowers as a wonderful mix from the gardens you walk past. I don’t have much of a garden, I’ve thrown in a few bulbs and a couple of plants that I’ve been given. I had a few rose bushes already here and I keep them looked after.
Fay, a lovely older lady from church has a wonderful garden though, and she absolutely loves gardening. She brings a bunch of flowers to church each week and this week I got to take her flowers home, so I have been coming home from work and being greeted to the wonderful smell of flowers. Poppies, carnations, sweet peas and daises make up a wonderful bunch, although my photos of bunches of flowers don’t turn out so well. Anyway, here’s some samples from my garden and Fay’s flowers. The iris flowers in my garden have come from bulbs that Fay gave me.
