Day 22 – Starting small

Day 22 – Thousands are unwilling to start their harvest with a small seed

Start sowing with what you have.  Something small will become something big.  All trees start from a tiny seed.  But in order to see a harvest, the small seed must be planted.  All big businesses started from something small.  God knows how much you have.  He also knows how little you have.  Be obedient in sowing what you do have.  It doesn’t have to be cash.  It could be material goods, something you’re good at, love or time.  Maybe you are good at craft or making cards.  Make some cards and start giving them away.  If you keep what’s in your hand, then that is your harvest.  If you sow that instead, it becomes your seed and there’s plenty of potential in God’s hand to bring in a bumper harvest.

The story of the widow in Mark 12:41-44 tells us how Jesus noticed the amount that she offered.  She cast in all she had, even thought it seemed small.  She gave it as a seed.

Be aware of what you have in your hand and give it to God.  Let Him do something big out of something small.

This is a summary, from chapter 22, 31 Reasons people do not receive their financial harvest, written by Mike Murdock.
