Day 12 – In the right place

Filed under: Finances — pearsey @ 4:33 pm

This is a summary, from chapter 12, 31 Reasons people do not receive their financial harvest, written by Mike Murdock.

Day 12 – Many are not working at their place of assignment

Your assignment is always to a place and it is important to be in the right place.  When you are in the right place, you will be excited to be there, you will have God’s favour and your gifts will flourish.  Jesus (John 4:3-4), the disciples, Ruth, Philip (Acts 8:26-29), Barnabas and Saul (Acts 13:2) all knew the place that they were meant to be.

When you are in the right place, the right people will be waiting for you (Ruth 1-4), the right miracles will occur (John 6:19-21), prosperity and provision are available (John 6:12-13) and favour will flow toward you (Ruth 2:3-18).

When you know you are in the right place, it will often take great commitment to stay there.  Or it may appear to be the wrong place at the start, but it becomes the right place.  Joseph was in jail, but he trusted God through it and was promoted to be in charge over the prison and eventually Egypt.

On the other hand, if you are in the wrong place, it can take great courage to change from a place where you’re comfortable, to the place where God really wants you.  The place where you’re working, or are called to serve is the place where you will get excited, where you’ll look around and find things that can improve, you’ll bring changes and solutions that make working there even better.  If you’re doing the opposite to this – arriving late, working slower, complaining, overlooking problems you should solve – then you could be in the wrong place – or you just may need to deal with your attitude!  Either way, spend time with God and sort it out.  Find your place of passion and serve there.

Whatever you do, do it unto the Lord, and not to men (Eph 6:7).  Continually look for things to improve, inspire and encourage the others who are there.

Provision will be guaranteed at the place where you are obedient.  Do something you are passionate about, find where you belong and you will be in the right place for God to give you the financial harvest that God is longing to give you.
