Day 11 – Recognising the moment

Filed under: Finances — pearsey @ 8:01 pm

This is a summary, from chapter 11, 31 Reasons people do not receive their financial harvest, written by Mike Murdock.

Some give only when they feel like it instead of when a man of God inspires them

“Faith moments are miracle moments”.

If we remember the story of Elijah and the widow, we remember the hardship that she was in.  She was about to go and prepare her last meal before she and her son died.  They had absolutely nothing to give except that last meal.  But then Elijah asks her to give that away.  Here is a man of God, who comes along and rather than giving something to help the widow, he asks her to give away the last of what she has.  At this point the widow is faced with a choice.  To act in faith and trust the man of God that he will help bring about a miracle, or wallow in self pity and keep the last of her food for her son and herself.

She decided to act in faith and believe for a miracle.  “She had the ability to recognise a man of God when he came along”.  “When God loves you enough to assign a man of God to unlock your faith, you must recognise it as the moment for your miracle”.

We need to recognise the people of God that are sent to us to challenge our faith.  We may not feel like giving and we may not feel the presence of God, but if we recognise the faith challenge and respond in faith and obedience, then God is able to release a miracle.  The Holy Spirit will take your faith, take your illogical seed, take your obedience and make something great out of it.

“Some will never receive a harvest because they ignore the miracle moment when a man of God inspires their faith.”

I want to be somebody who recognises God’s messenger and the faith challenge when it comes along and chooses to act in faith!
